Can’t open SitGuru on home Wi‑Fi?

Home internet security tools sometimes pause access to everyday websites for technical reasons — not because of content, subject matter, or ownership. Use the steps below, then email support@sitguru.com if you still need help.

Quick checks

  • Try SitGuru on cellular data (turn Wi‑Fi off for a moment). If it opens there, the pause is on your home network filter.
  • Try a different browser or an Incognito/Private window on the same Wi‑Fi.
  • Note your internet provider name if you know it — that helps Support guide you faster.

How to allow a site your Wi‑Fi security paused

Provider apps use different labels (Allow Access, Allow, Approved Sites, Safe Browsing). The idea is the same: open the security/threat list for your home network and allow the website so your devices can reach it again.

Sites are not flagged because of their content, subject matter, or ownership. Automated filters sometimes pause access for technical reasons (for example a newer domain or incomplete reputation data) even when the site is a normal business website.

  1. Confirm the page opens on cellular data or another network. If it does, the pause is almost always on your home Wi‑Fi security feature.
  2. Open your internet provider’s Wi‑Fi or home app (examples: Xfinity/xFi, Cox Panoramic WiFi, Spectrum, Frontier Secure, Verizon Home, Quantum Fiber).
  3. Find Security, Advanced Security, Threats, Security Threats, or Safe Browsing — wording varies by provider.
  4. Open the recent threat or blocked-site entry related to the page you tried to visit.
  5. Choose Allow Access, Allow, or Add to approved sites (labels differ by app).
  6. Close the app, wait a minute, then try SitGuru again. If it still fails, restart your browser or toggle Wi‑Fi off and on.
  7. Email support@sitguru.com with a screenshot of the block page and your provider name so we can help from there.

Common questions

  • Why might SitGuru open on cellular but not on home Wi‑Fi?

Many home internet routers include an optional Advanced Security or Safe Browsing feature. Those tools sometimes pause access to legitimate websites for technical reasons — not because of the site’s content, subject matter, or ownership. Trying cellular (or another network) is a quick way to tell whether the issue is your home Wi‑Fi security filter.

  • Does a Wi‑Fi security warning mean something is wrong with SitGuru?

Not necessarily. Automated filters can flag brand-new domains, recent DNS changes, or incomplete reputation data even when a site is a normal business website. SitGuru is a pet-care marketplace. If something looks wrong on your network only, follow the approve/allow steps below and email support@sitguru.com so we can help.

  • What should I send to SitGuru Support?

Email support@sitguru.com with: (1) a screenshot of any block or warning page, (2) your internet provider name if you know it (for example Xfinity, Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, or Quantum Fiber), (3) whether the site works on cellular, and (4) the device and browser you used. That helps us guide you quickly.

Still can’t get in? Email support@sitguru.com with a screenshot of any warning page, your internet provider (if known), and whether SitGuru works on cellular. We’re happy to help.
