Onboarding & Setup
Help understanding SitGuru onboarding steps, submitted statuses, documents, and what happens after setup tasks are completed.
Submitted means SitGuru received the Guru Onboarding Packet and it is waiting for admin review. Gurus can continue to Step 6 while SitGuru reviews Step 5.
Amber means Step 5 was submitted and is pending SitGuru review. Once SitGuru approves the packet, Step 5 turns green and shows Complete.
Only upload documents if SitGuru specifically requested them. Do not upload W-9 forms, full SSNs, banking details, or sensitive payment information through the onboarding packet page.
Yes. Gurus can save Step 5 and continue to Step 6 to connect Stripe payouts while SitGuru reviews the submitted onboarding packet.
SitGuru reviews profile readiness, onboarding packet status, trust and safety status, services, pricing, public visibility, and payout readiness before a Guru becomes fully bookable.

Pet Gurus provide services as independent local providers through the SitGuru marketplace. More detailed onboarding, tax, and provider information is shared during the approval and setup process.

A SitGuru PawReport™ is the care summary connected to a booking. It can include visit start and completion timing, photos, potty updates, food and water updates, care notes, and a final summary from the Guru.
Pet Parents can open the booking from their dashboard and choose View PawReport. The PawReport helps them see what happened during care, review photos and notes, and keep the visit history organized inside SitGuru.
Gurus should open the booking, start the PawReport when care begins, add useful updates during the visit, upload clear photos when appropriate, record potty and food or water updates, write a personal note, and complete the PawReport before leaving or shortly after the service ends.
A strong PawReport includes the pet’s name, at least one clear photo when possible, potty or care updates, food and water confirmations when relevant, and a warm final note that tells the Pet Parent how their pet did.
No. PawReports are useful for dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, daycare, boarding, and house sitting. The exact updates may vary by service, pet needs, and booking details.
